Books should be placed flat in the carton, alternating the spine and open side of the book.
A piece of paper should be placed between the books so that they don’t get stuck with each other; smaller cartoons are generally used for this purpose. Artifacts and delicate items should be wrapped in bubble wrap sheets because it acts like a cushion it saves them from direct impact of a hit. After safely tucking in the books and the artifacts, it is time to pack electronic goods, furniture and glass items. Electronics should be placed in original cartoons, packing materials like bubble wrap, newsprint, foam sheeting, comforters/blankets and pillows should be used. The carton should be firmly sealed and a note should be placed on the top that says ‘Delicate Items Inside, Handle With Care’.
When electronic goods are unpacked they should be allowed to get acclamatised with the room temperature and only after that they should be plugged-in. Chairs should be stacked seat to seat. Utensils are packed the same way as delicate artifacts are done and lastly for shoes it is always advisable to place them in their original boxes.
